Welcome to E9 Controls, an agile team of specialists in control system development.
We established our company with a problem-solving mentality firmly in mind. Our team is focused on solving problems and delivering value through the software services we provide for scientific laboratories, working closely with our clients at all times to adapt to their needs.
Our Services
Development
We are specialists in the field of control systems development and integration, and consequently, we focus our work within these areas. We assist our clients with all aspects of control system development including industrial automation systems.
The control systems we design are mainly based on EPICS - a framework widely used in small and large research facilities.
In our daily work we use modern tools and high-level languages to provide efficient and high-quality solutions that help to maintain the infrastructure.
Following a successful deployment, we continue our work, ensuring ongoing maintenance of the proper function of the production environment.
Consulting
Although we specialise in control systems development and integration, we also offer a technology consulting service with the aim of helping our clients reduce their expenditure while assisting them in the design of a highly successful operation.
We can work with clients at any stage of a project to carefully analyse their technological needs and to come to a full understanding of their project objectives. Once we have carried out this detailed assessment, we work closely with the client to find the most appropriate solutions for their specific laboratory needs.
As part of our collaborative consultancy process, we can also prepare system audits. We can carry out a range of evaluations to suit the needs of the client, including documentation preparation, security, appraisal of the source code, analysis of their organisation structure, and the identification of the strengths and weaknesses of their project, as well as any other factors that are decided in conjunction with the client.
Support
Here at E9 Controls, we’re proud to be able to offer an end-to-end service that doesn’t stop with control system development. We also offer ongoing support once the designed system is functioning, providing support both during the preparation phase for a set of research experiments and also during the actual research experiment itself.
Furthermore, we can make adjustments to our software to enhance the client’s specific scientific requirements. We believe firmly in the co-creation of an environment in which all available human resources and devices can be effectively employed, and we put this into practice by delivering support for ongoing operations.
Through every stage of a project, we offer support to the client and work closely in conjunction with them to learn as much as possible about their objectives and requirements for the control system. Through an ongoing mutual exchange of information, we can accurately diagnose issues, and define and implement improved concepts so that the final result is a matured system that reflects the ambitions and vision of the client.
Following development and construction of the system, we remain contactable and within easy reach in order to monitor the project on an ongoing basis and continue consulting on their projects.
Proven Expertise
Since 2016, we have been building control systems for scientific laboratories using EPICS.
Thanks to the experience gained over the years, we know what the process of building a control system should look like, how to minimise risks and what to do when things don't go right.
Our approach works, as demonstrated by our customers repeatedly choosing us for new projects.
